Given the pelters thrown at nearly if not all Hornet kits so far for their nose-front canopy windscreen profile let’s hope they get it right. Well at least as right as keeps everyone happy :D

It looks right in the CAD.

The Dynavector 1/48 DH Hornet vacform kit was also correct in this area and so was the Classic Airframes Hornet kit.

I have great confidence in these guys. I was lucky enough to join in a conversation with them on Arthur Bentley's stand at the Nats last year. They have a real commitment to accuracy and an obvious  love of the Hornet. With Arthur Bentley's help they have access to the best information that is out there. Capturing the subtlety of line of a very beautiful machine will not be easy and will require real care. I am convinced these guys get it and cant wait to see what they come up with.

Good luck.

I agree with you . Back in `47 at our annual school holiday camp at Hornsea , a section of 4 would roaring over at little more than roof top

height and out to sea for air to air  firing . I still remember the " hammering " of their cannons , about a mile off shore . I don`t know where

they were stationed , somewhere in south=east Yorkshire ,I guess . Great looking kite ! .

DBMK will be at ScaleModelWorld at Telford this year with a table in Hall 2.

We will have 3-D prints of the Hornet and Scimitar on display.

Come over and have a chat!

Here are some of the latest CAD renders for the Hornet. Please note the internal structure to aid alignment. We will be optimising this over the coming weeks.
