Romanian Ju-86s; seeking photo references

Hello all, 

 

Can anyone direct me to references for the Romanian Ju-86s?  I believe they were a typical Luftwaffe splinter scheme. In addition I am seeking photos of the Romanian bombers. Thank you for your interest.

I remember casting the net widely for information on RRAF aircraft, but never encountered these.  They do not appear in the usual references of the Romanian Air Force, and there must be considerably doubts about their existence.  Prewar Romania was looking to Italy for SM.79B bombers.

 

Other export examples of the Ju.86 would be seen in variations of the 61/62/63/65 colour scheme  (eg Hungary and Sweden).  It could be that some examples used in Romania for training later in the war, though with the usual lack of photos for non-combat aircraft such would be rare.

Kora sells the conversion set for Romanian Ju86 E5 include resin engines and decals . I;ve seen someone model in net in two green splinter German camo with Latin number in white on fin.

As far as I remember, Romania got 12 Ju-86 (E5 and E8) in 1944. The now defunct Romanian magazine Modelism had an article in one of its issues (no. 6/2004 according to a search I just did) with 3(?) photos of no. V. I think I have it, but I won`t have access to it for a good while. I`d expect there to be an entry in the Illustrated History of Romanian Aeronautics book, but, again, I can`t check right now.

In an old discussion from a Romanian forum, someone was of the opinion that the Ju-86 sporting the romanian roundels (i.e. post 23 August 1944), as no. V for example, would have been painted in the "Romanian" dark green:

If that is true then it would probably mean a scheme similar to late Romanian IAR-80 machines.

I could not find that magazine number, but the Illustrated History of Romanian Aeronautics book does have an entry for it (as it does for any aircraft serving with Romania) and there are two photos in it:

The text notes that the six E-5 and six E-8 aircraft were receieved in 1944 and were assigned to two flying schools.
