kpnuts
Hi all, a little modification needed to make for smooth running. I quite like the way it looks painted (far more interesting than wood)

kpnuts
There's far more work in the ladder assu than the bodywork and it's far more difficult to get a smooth action but I'm quite pleased with how it's working.
kpnuts
Nearing completion now, I may repaint the metal parts to look, well more like metal.
dnl42
Wow! I'm completely flabbergasted that you got this outstanding result from a stack of laser-cut slot-and-tab plywood!
JeroenS
Painting it definitely works! That looks quite good. The ladder is huge!
psdavidson
I've always been ambivalent towards these kits. They look interesting but strike me as a 30 minute slap-together distraction much like the Airfix Quick Builds and similar. Giving it a painted finish has definitely improved the look of the finished kit. It's a superb result I may have to rethink.....
kpnuts
You definitely couldn't build it in 30 mins even without painting it. Well its done, bit disappointed with its operation but I'm sure my grandson will love it. https://youtu.be/SvG7vxUWCxM
