There's far more work in the ladder assu than the bodywork and it's far more difficult to get a smooth action but I'm quite pleased with how it's working.

Nearing completion now, I may repaint the metal parts to look, well more like metal.

Wow! I'm completely flabbergasted that you got this outstanding result from a stack of laser-cut slot-and-tab plywood! :gobsmacked:

Painting it definitely works! That looks quite good. The ladder is huge!

I've always been ambivalent towards these kits. They look interesting but strike me as a 30 minute slap-together distraction much like the Airfix Quick Builds and similar.

Giving it a painted finish has definitely improved the look of the finished kit. It's a superb result

 

I may have to rethink.....
