Been a little quiet here lately, but things are progressing well with our latest project. Do you know what it is?

Does this company have a UK distributor?

Not as far as I'm aware, I live in the UK and ordered their DH6 direct from Australia via their website. Took about a month to arrive, not bad as it was around Christmas!

Cheers, Paul

Good to know, thanks.  Did you get clobbered for import duties and costs at all?

No I didn't, although postage was a bit pricey, can't remember the exact cost as was about six months ago!

Thanks.  Don't mind paying for postage.  It's when the shipping company sticks you one for additional import duty and VAT that gets me.

That looks very tempting, the stash is never going to get any smaller!

As well as helping with technical advice, Red Roo Models is a sort of defacto distributor. There's probably no advantage over ordering direct unless you want to buy some Red Roo decals or similar at the same time. Like HH, we only charge what Australia Post charges us.

Final prototype of the Fairey IIID. Goes together beautifully... (even if we do say so ourselves!) 39 3D printed parts and eight brass rods make up the kit. Final marking options have not been decided but will probably include all six A10 markings from its service in the RAAF.

Second item that arrived in my mail box today. I am delighted. Still a bit puzzled by the small size of the box, nevertheless delighted.

Now, what about the RAF/FAA landplane? Do you listen down in Hobartville? @Ed Russell, will you forward the message please?

Of course I will. I'm in Melbourne which is a fair way from Hobartville - think Blovice to Paris - but I was there last week.

Well, I did not mean you must go there today, but next week would be just about fine😀.

Will send you an email.

Just a hint for the ones who would like to use the kit and represent an FAA/RAF machine. The Australian IIIDs were part of the first construction series, with R-R Eagle VIII engine. So straight of the box you can build only the machines from the first (1920) FAA/RAF order, numbered N9450 to N9499. And of course all the Australian and for sure at least some of the Portuguese floatplanes (investigation pending).
