Nice way to wind down before sleep! 😴 Red stripes next... Seems that the actual building & painting goes quickly. It's all the little fiddly last stage bits that take forever. Still loads of itty bitty decals to add, then one final gloss before a carefully applied panel line wash. Oh & there's a few sticky outy bits to add. Lightningboy2000 Posted August 19, 2022 Author Share Posted August 19, 2022 I got rather engrossed in completing the final stages of this build for taking pictures, completely forgot the camera. All paint, decals & sticky outy bits have been done & dusted. It's as good as done but I've still got to try & find the time for taking some decent pics. In the meantime I put these together for it. Lightningboy2000 Posted August 21, 2022 Author Share Posted August 21, 2022 Finally calling this completed. See Gallery. Last thing I noticed that i missed was the red paint around the intakes. Masked for the thin red line then accidentally pulled away some of the decals. Is there a way to make sure that decals don't lift from a metal surface???? I managed to paint the markings back in by hand, so all is not lost unless you look very close! The colourful markings on the metallic finish look great, a winning combination. The ladder and acc trolley just add to the great look of this superb model.
