Cor!!!  What a rip off.  💩

This thing looks nothing like what I imagined.  Nothing fits.  The outlines are rubbish.  There's no decals or even any instructions to speak of.  No interior, and surface detail is non-existent.

Multimedia...  Pfft!

On the plus side, there's no flash visible and I should have plenty of parts left over.  Perhaps it will scrub up alright with a bit of extra work?

Looks like 12" to 1' to me.

Might be easier to eliminate the complexities of multimedia construction; if you started with a large wooden block you could simply remove everything that doesn't look like your subject.

It's never too late for silliness on BM. We have some of the finest fruitcakes in the modelling Galaxy here. Wibble.

I'll be following closely: I've got some parts that look like that, and I'm keen to see how best to make them fit together..... ;)

Australia, it's a little vague you got a continent to hide in, show your face!

Think you are going to have to big up and show the model/drawings or at least something to support you moan at the top f the page.

As Martin says, nutters, fruit cakes and fruit and nut cakes abound here, he's right. We're all with you, now get on with it.

Just the galaxy… I’m hoping it’s metaphorical fruitcake as I can’t eat the real thing anymore :(

That kit is starting to look dangerously like some kind of model thingy. I’ll go for the obvious and say a DH2 but I’m sure it’s not. Hopefully one of the more interesting pushers of WWI.

As Michelangelo supposedly said about the statue of David, "Start with a block of marble, and remove anything that doesn't look like David"

You have a nice block of marble so far!

Please be careful with that kit, I had one and it came out nothing like a DH2

😲

You will need to keep a very tight control of the modelling knife.

Looking forward to this immensely.

Ben

Have a look at Putty's previous and prepared to be astounded!

For instance:

a DH.2, is that what we're supposed to build from that kit?

I think I lost the instructions early in the build.....

I love it when your models get so big you need multiple cutting boards...

Is that the weird naval box-kite jobby that was towed behind a ship to observe fall of shot and spot enemy ships below the deck-level horizon?
