Very nice PE skills so far, this is a lovely kit, I built a heavily modified version around 13 years ago

The correct way to assemble Etched parts in my opinion.

Most 35th scale plastic parts are way over scale manly due to the injection molding restrictions in production.

0.15mm thick equates to 5mm thick at 1:1 scale.

Very nicely put together Sir.

Having seen a few people soldering it is rather impressive. The results I have seen may mean it is a skill I will have to learn.👍

Very impressive soldering.Photo Etch is one of those things i love and hate at the same time.Haven't looked lately but is there such a thing as a miniature soldering iron?

Also, did you have to do much sanding to get rid of excess solder?

The answer is easy don't put too much solder on the iron, use a good liquid flux with a variable temp iron and low melt leaded solder none of the lead free rubbish and clean both surfaces properly and during construction.

I can see the benefits of soldering. On the very small bits would glue not achieve the same goal without the clean up. Or do you just feel more comfortable doing it with solder.

I started soldering photo-etched parts because the connection is more reliable and I am sure that even after years nothing will break off.
