Marklo
Another brainwave. A GB of things named after the weather. vppelt68
A short lection in Finnish meteoroligal terms also used by Valtion lentokonetehdas in naming their aircraft types: VL Tuisku blizzard VL Viima draught VL Pyry snowstorm VL Humu whirl VL Myrsky tempest VL Pyörremyrsky whirlwind Does that mean I'm in? Well, yes, but probably not with any of those. I'm a high quality, injection molded plastic kit man only and those just aren't served for. But the VL Pyörremyrsky is beautiful! desert falcon
May I add: VW Golf (Gulf Stream) VW Jetta (Jet Stream) VW Passat (Trade wind) VW Scirocco (Wind from Sahara) Maserati Mistral (Wind) Maserati Ghibli (Arabic name for the Sirocco) Maserati Bora (Cold wind) + VW Bora Maserati Karif (Hot wind) Maserati Shamal (yet another hot wind, Shamal being the Arab word for north) Maserati Levante (Warm easterly wind) References: https://www.vw.com/en/newsroom/lifestyle-and-heritage/vw-names.html https://www.maserati.com/hk/en/brand/our-story/names And I’m sure where are many more car names which could be added
desert falcon
Now why did you start this Marklo 😉 Pagani Zonda (hot air current that blows across Argentina) Pagani Huayra (Wind god if that counts, there is a kit though) Lamborghini Huracan (Spanish for hurricane) Ford Zephyr (warm westerly wind) GMC Syclone (Cyclone) Rimac Nevera (Storm)

theplasticsurgeon
This is my only un-vouched eligible subject. Or a bit more Thunder. Adding Chinook to your list, it's a warm wind off the Rockies, causing an early thaw over the Prairies - but I've just built mine.

ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday, if naval subjects are allowed then any Japanese warship (and there were many destroyers) with names ending in xxxxxkaze would qualify? Kaze means wind or breeze. Hence IJN Kamikaze (Devine Wind or Spirit Wind), Nokaze (Field Wind), Shimakaze (Island Wind), Suzukaze (Cool Breeze) etc. I don't know what's in my stash yet that would qualify but I might have something. Regards, Jeff. 1

I'm looking forward to seeing a Nissan Sunny :). 1

dnl42
2 hours ago, vppelt68 said: Pontiac Tempest Quote Now, in the ’60s, there were only two other cars made in America that had positraction, and independent rear suspension, and enough power to make these marks. One was the Corvette, which could never be confused with the Buick Skylark. The other had the same body length, height, width, weight, wheelbase, and wheel track as the ’64 Skylark, and that was the 1963 Pontiac Tempest.
zebra
This morning’s weather here in Melbourne brings to mind the Italeri C-27A Chuck(ing it down)! There’s a lot of great subjects in this thread but it’s mostly wind, thunder or lightning related. Not much precipitation. I suppose a De Havilland Drizzle probably wouldn’t have sold well!
