Toftdale
I'm sure you have commented in a previous build that interiors are your thing, I can see why this is fantastic - Andy.

HOUSTON
Nick, Super duper work. Keep up the EXCELLENT job you are doing. Splendiferous work .
Fnick
Thanks Houston! "Splendiferous" love that word! This morning's progress. Interior is now fully assembled and waiting for the new handbrake which is in progress. I put a wash on the seats. Again the camera is distorting reality. It is no way near that pronounced. And big step the wheels are on! Yeah! Thanks for looking, Nick Edited October 30, 2022 by Fnick

Plus there all four wheels are on the floor, always a great relief. - Andy 2
HOUSTON
FLAWLESS, SUBLIME & IMPECCABLE build.
Fnick
Morning all Quite a bit of visual progress recently! First of all the body was mated to the chassis. No issues there which was a relief although it was a very tight fit... The windows went in next. I decided against cuting out the driver side front window out as the glass is very clear. So don't worry you can still see the oversized steering wheel and wonky radio! Rear lights next, still in progress at this stage. And now finished Front ones were next And this is where we are now Really pleased with how it's looking especially the chrome. It's not over bright but does have a nice deep shine in the light I have misplaced one one the wing mirror mirrors and I also chucked away the sprues thinking I did need anything else only to find that I didn't cut out the number plate holders.... At least that is all easily fixed. Only a few things left to glue in place,a few decals and then it's done! Thanks for looking, Nick Edited November 6, 2022 by Fnick
Marco F.
Oh yes, it looks real good. For the lost parts, ask revell for a customer support. Normally they help
Fnick
Thanks Marco! Good idea about asking Revell but I think it will be easier and quicker to scratch build the parts. I actually need to double check the garage to make sure I didn't leave the mirror in there... Nick
mbdesignart
Don't forget some nice sooty depostits on the tailpipe tips.

Spiny
Lots of visual progress indeed, it's coming together nicely now. Throwing away a part is one of my fears when I'm doing the build - I usually end up double or triple checking that there are no small bits left before putting a sprue in recycling, and even then I end up doing a count off sometimes just to make sure!
Fnick
Thanks Spiny! Think the lesson learned for next time is to throw the sprues away at the END of the build not the middle... Nick Edited November 6, 2022 by Fnick
Neddy
Great looking model so far, I love the unusual paint (for an E-Type) job and the under-bonnet detail work is top-notch! 1

Noel Smith
Nice build. Were the replacement wheels from Motobitz? They do 1/24th, 1/32nd and 1/43rd scale 3D printed wires. Very tempted to get the new Revell E Type Roadster and some 3D printed wheels and tyres after reading this thread.
Fnick
Cheers Noel. The wheels were from a link I got of the Scale modelling Chanel. On the first video of the e type build there is a link to a download of a 3D printable file. I got one of my mates from work to print them. Having had a look at the Motobitz wheels I would say they are also far better than the kit offering. IMHO this is a very good kit so I would give in to temptation if I were you!
