Mirage 2000D with "dual GBU" / Kinetic / 1:48

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

my latest model is this Kinetic Mirage 2000D with dual GBU in 1:48. Not a "Gold Series Kit" but nevertheless a nice one. Used the Eduard PE`s, Quinta 3D cockpit decals, Aries nozzle und FCM decals.

Absolutely sublime work.

Just curious as to whether you fixed the lack of anhedral or not. Given I can’t tell from the photos I guess you could say it doesn’t really matter either way.

When this level of work is posted IN BM and I look at my efforts posted on BM, it makes me think it’s a bit like me playing football with Lionel Messi.

Stunning work in all aspects & great photos!

How is the kit? I‘m playing with the idea of building a 2000 ever since watching „Les chevaliers du ciel“.

It is not the great Kinetic "Gold Series" quality, but it is a good kit and for sure the best Mirage 2000D in 1:48.

Love that. 1/48 isn't my scale, but the more I see of Mirages, the more I like them. The F1 is my current favourite, but the 2000 looks good too. And somehow the Dassault people made the two-seaters look as pretty as the singles. Lovely paint finish on this.

That is an exceptional build, congratulations!

The cockpits look amazing....and the weathering is highly realistic.

When I see completed builds done this well, it makes me question why I even try building models. I could never achieve this level of realism. Absolutely beautiful work.

You'll get to the level you want to be at in time Panther! i'm sure. just takes practice and patience. we all have our favoured methods which work for us .. Regards, Andy
