1/32 Trumpeter P-47D 22 “Belle of Belmont”

Recommended Posts

Hello

Here is my recently finished 1/32 Trumpeter P-47D 22 with the markings of “Belle of Belmont” from 63rd FS / 56th FG in Boxted.

Note that this Thunderbolt has Curtiss Electric propeller though it is D22.

Cockpit enhanced with Yahu instrument panel and Eduard seatbelt

I have used Barracudacast main wheels and Eduard tail Wheel.

Paints are Gunze Sangyo acrylics

Decals are from “Kagero P-47 Thunderbolt with the USAAF- European Theatre of Operations” book.

Happy Modelling

Very nice. Must be a big beastie in 1/32? Like the faded aspect of the paintwork and the restrained weathering. Great work.

Wow. Love it.

I really liked the belly Tanks on both wings. Most unusual configuration. That you have a photo of this is fantastic. I'm impressed you included the pipework for these drop tanks as well. Great detail and superb weathering. I love Jugs! My favourite is always the Bubble Top but I do like the Razorback also. 1:32 scale does this plane justice. A great model. Thanks for showing it!

Fantastic Jug.

The subtle shading effects and weathering look very convincing to me.
