I've got wild staring eyes and a strong urge to fly - Arma Hobby 1/72 Mustang P-51 B/C

Recommended Posts

I realise there has already been a phenomenal Procopius build of this and that Cookenbacher is also engaged in a cracking build but I've been wanting to get stuck into this since it arrived.

It will be a little different as it will be built with after market decals to build the mount of Wing Commander Leonard Cheshire as he was then.

Some pics which have all been seen elsewhere.

Count me in on this one!

Annoyingly, I checked the photoetch for my kit of this and discovered some of the radiator mesh missing. Too much acid in the mix? Never mind, I doubt anyone will look too closely in the air intake of the finished article when I get round to it.

Hi Alistair,

I'll pull up a chair as well if I may? (It's about time I got back into some aerial goodness and what better way?) And what a great scheme.

Looking forward to seeing this one progress.

All the best,

Mark

Unfortunately things like this happen sometimes, even if we carefuly examine all parts before packing into box. Sorry for that.

We replace any and every damaged part free of charge, just fill the form here: https://www.armahobby.com/webpage/support-faq.html#claims

Best regards!

On a slight tangent, I can highly recommend Richard Morris's very moving biography of Cheshire, a truly great man, quite different from many of his peers and a wonderful humanitarian.

Good luck with the build. Great choice.
