PlaStix
Having finished my 1/48 Tamiya Firefly I decided, for the last month of the GB, that I’d build something small and, hopefully, quick to make. And this is what I picked: These are the contents of the box: I have made a start - getting the hull parts assembled: There is quite a lot of clean up required - the mould seams are quite heavy in places. Mig Eater added the bolts strip across the front of his Toon build using skill and patience. Me, I was lucky to find this in the spares box: Cut to size and glued in place plus some other parts added: It has been a bit fiddly at times but okay……so far! Comments and suggestions welcome. Kind regards, Stix
PlaStix
Managed to get a bit more done on this over the weekend. First I got all the parts cleaned up and some parts assembled - for the turret - so they were ready for some paint. There were quite a few heavy seam lines on some parts and some flash that needed to be removed - so it took a little longer than expected. Then I got some paint on, followed by my usual initial base weathering:- a wash of very, very thinned Gunship Grey, a targeted wash of thinned Anthracite, applied in and around all the details, followed by a dry-brushed on, lightened version of the base coat - in this case I decided to use Humbrol's Olive Drab (155) for the green parts. Main, bigger parts: Everything - including the parts which had thinned Anthracite applied and a few parts with some Gunmetal already dry-brushed on, including the tracks: Decals will probably be next. Comments and suggestions welcome. Kind regards, Stix

PlaStix
Thank you @Ozzy and @dnl42. Decided I needed to get the running gear and tracks on next, but, before fitting them in place, I lightly weathered the sides of the lower hull, as I knew they would be difficult to get to with everything in place: I then got the got the decals on: Next up I will start work on the proper weathering. PlaStix
Over the past weekend I managed to get this one finished. Following getting the weathering done, I got all the bit'n'bobs fitted together. Most didn't require any gluing. Anyway it was a fun little build. I can certainly recommend these Toon kits: Good luck to anyone still working on their projects. Kind regards, Stix

I enjoy these toon kits as a bit of light relief. The ones I have made so have been fun to do. You can do as much or as little with them and they still look interesting/funny!
