Yg Models
before built FA Kagutsuchi-Otsu Fencer & Sniper, the one carrying heavy sword or sniper. i already assembled its previous version: Kagutsuchi-Kou twice. It is a mecha in Frame Arms, a model series designed & published from ground by Koto, its selling points are - basic interior structures with 3mm holes all around; - using those 3mm holes to install armor / weapon; - official armor sets in different style (i.e. model kits) are designed by Japanese favorite mechanical designers; - suitable for modeller to D.I.Y. its mecha rather than everyone build a same mecha (e.g. gunpla); - its spin-off series: Frame Arms Girls even became a trend of model kit, every brand in Japan, Taiwan, China publish similar model kits to earn money now ... it was a period I use tamiya enamel, gaia paints, spray cans to enjoy modeling. since some of them maybe built 7~8 years before, i can't remember clearly what colors, technique i applied on them. so group them together and share with you. i only rescue a few photos from my photobucket, so don't have 6-view, blow-up, details as per recent builds. but have Photoshop posters ... Working Photos: Product Photos: another pair which i haven't finish it at last. Edited February 1 by Yg Models
Hunter Rose
Nice! My only experience of a kotobukiya model was one a Border Break Zebra unit I found I had to do a lot of masking out because of how they had molded the parts. How are the frame arms models to paint? Yg Models
thx Rose 8 hours ago, Hunter Rose said: ...had to do a lot of masking out...How are the frame arms models to paint? i haven't build any Border Break before, but quality of Koto's model kits are average; won't like bandai, some products are nice and cheap, some just so so. since number of parts in FA series not up to bandai's MG level, even its Zoids-MMH level, so still have quite masking need to do if you use airbrush. for me, i mainly (~95%) use hand painting, so not feel any problem with Koto molding style. if you interested in koto / bandai model kits, this Korean blogs shall be useful 😉: www.dalong.net/ Edited May 16, 2022 by Yg Models
