Redshift
Well its been too long, so I felt the call of another boat model. This time a 1/33 scale crab trawler from Billings Boats, plank on frame construction with somewhat sketchy instructions and some parts missing, so a bit of artistic license was needed. A suitably challenging build, but very enjoyable. Thanks for viewing; comments always welcome.
ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday @Redshift, that's a nice build of the vessel. What would the length of the boat be, about 45-50 feet? And do you know the average crew? Well done with her. Regards, Jeff.

Bertie McBoatface
Oh very nice. It's good to see a wooden one here. The kit seems to have used a lot of plywood with visible edges. Is this a Billing thing? I've never done one of their boats.
Redshift
Yes, they can be a little rough around the edges. I did an Amati ship that gave a much better finish. This model is a cheap one though, comparatively speaking .
desert falcon
That’s a very nice little Krabbenkutter 👍 I’m guessing CUX stands for Cuxhaven in Germany, its home habour?

Doc72
Beautiful model. It reminds me of my home region not too far from the small harbors on the Waden Sea where these Krabbenkutter catch brown shrimps (Krabben or Granat). My father liked to buy a kilo of unpeeled Krabben and peel them at home while having a beer or two.
Norseman 3:16
Lovely vessel! Good to see 'working' boats being built. Well done on a super build.
