John R
Most of my pictures were the same as those from Seamus and not as good so I thought that I would show the ones he didn't stay for. After some of the visiting a/c had departed the wind had dropped sufficiently to let a few of the 'oldies' to get airborn. One of the highlights (despite the poor light!) was the English Electric Wren. Just after a long take-off it started a circuit just a few feet of the ground and continued round climbing as it went. An amazing sight
ColinChipmunkfan
Very nice indeed. I am glad you stayed on and thanks for posting. Very good pictures of the Avro and the Boxkite against the blue sky. I would imagine the Wren can only get airborne when it is completely calm.🙂 Colin
John R
Yes. There was doubt until the last minute that the conditions would be calm enough. John
