Seamus
Morning all, Here's a handful of images from a long awaited weekend shooting helicopters on Dartmoor. As ever, a pair of Junglie Merlins were on hand to support the Ten Tors Challenge, with a bonus visit from the Coastguard on the Saturday. Although frustrating at times, this weekend never fails to produce some fantastic photographic opportunities. Filler
Amazing photos as always. As an aside, I can't seem to figure why these aren't green though. They are the new-ish 'Junglies' aren't they?
canberraman
Simply magnificent Shaun, you've surpassed even your own high standards with this superb set. Some of the photos look air to air and the background is just fabulous. Well done and thanks for posting. Mark
Latinbear
Terrific images as ever! Several of them look like they are air to air. The pair of sheep in image eight have either seen it all before or they're not helicopter enthusiasts judging by their lack of interest.
ColinChipmunkfan
Hi Shaun, great photos again- I agree with Canberraman many of these look like detailed air to air shots🙂 Colin
Seamus
Thanks all, much appreciated. As this is as close as I'm ever likely to get to shooting air to air, it should be no surprise this weekend is probably my favourite aviation event of the year 21 hours ago, Filler said: Amazing photos as always. I understand it's due to an expansion of the Junglie role- the aircraft will spend more time at sea and therefore grey is a more appropriate colour. Whilst I prefer the green as a colour, from a photographic perspective the grey is much easier to shoot! Edited May 13, 2022 by Seamus
