So sorry that the info was no news for you. I don't think it will be released as a plastic kit. There's no big english manufacturer and the rest of the world don't remember this cute little car...

I bought one of those many years ago from Ait-Trax in Finland(?) for about $90.00 U.S.. It took a little finessing, but it wasn't a bad little kit. With full interior and engine bay! No PE, but PE wasn't a big thing back in the   .   .   .   . aaaah   .   .   .   .  olden days? 🙁😯😆   My decal options were Tour De Corse and Lombard RAC.

This is the 3ed time I've seen this kit offered by as many resin casters over the years. Can't remember the other one at the moment.

And you all are right, the price is a little out of range. Yea really gotta want it!

I must admit, I'd love one of these in the stash, but at that price I could get at least 3 other decent rally or F1 kits

Would be nice if Belkits or Nunu made one in plastic though :)

We can all dream on I suppose

I saw some Sunbeams here in Belgium in the early eighties (mainly "Ti's" as a contender against the VW Golf GTI). If my memory is accurate, the PSA Group also sold the Talbot Horizon here, an extremely similar car but in fact based on a Simca with front wheel drive. I think they scraped off the Sunbeam because of this internal competition.

I remember ..... (I had a Ford Capri 1600 S then but it couldn't hold its own against a lighter Ti).

The Ti had a 1600 engine with twin webers much the same, if not identical to, the preceding Avenger Tiger - a car I owned and preferred to any Escort I had!!

Hmm....I like the look of this kit....first purchase of 2026 maybe 🤔

I showed you it years ago before you went to the dark side of AFV modelling - surprised you don't already have one - check the stash....!!! :rofl2:

Good idea Keith...wouldn't want to have 2 kits the same mate that would mean 2 different decal schemes and we couldn't have that...could we 🤔

Looks like I'll be staying with my 1/43 diecast one from the Rally cars part work of oooh, ages ago. :)

Steve.

That reminds me - I've got an ancient Grand Prix Models 1/43 white metal kit of Toivonen's Sunbeam. Unfortunately the decals were shot last time I looked at it which was about 5 years ago. Will have to see if the aftermarket ones I saw on ebay from a Spanish seller are still available....
