Is that the humvee?

yes, the tire of M1114 is cut to pieces by "T-model" 😒

ZSL-10, ZBL-01 are sharing same/similar hull as per ZTL-11, just the turret are different, ; CHN type 59 is another import ver of T54 family. so no plan to buy them...

3 brands of ZTZ-99A, let them out, take photo side-by-side, this will be interesting to compare them 😬.

Is that the humvee? Too many things to go wrong with those wheels, but at least they won't go sticky.

Id love to show off my collection of Chinese tanks, but they are all still untouched in boxes.

I'm intrigued to see how similar the 3 different boxings of the ZTZ-99A compare, its not a tank we see much of in the west. Although I think China use it at the tank biathlon which is worth checking out on youtube.

A word of warning, the 3R/Bordermodels ZTZ99A is way over scale due to the fact that they used the wrong chassis on the tank (the longer chassis of the S Model kit version, which is correct) and tried to make the upper hull and turret fit, something I suspect the trumpeter kit has done as well. It’s even more confusing in that all three are called ZTZ99A, the S Model kit is an early version and correct, the Trumpeter and 3R are all later versions which used a different chassis with not so much spacing between the wheels.

the tank biathlon has some interesting schemes and yeah china uses the ztz-96b.

Everyone else uses t-72 B3s supplied by the host Russia who wins every year, draw your own conclusions...

I never realised you edit your original post on this thread so I missed a few updates, you put those tanks together quickly. I've had a peek in most of the boxes of my last order but not started anything.

I'll try and post some sprue pics.

the 3r sprues are huge

thanks, this is helpful. the tracks are pretty rubbish on all kits too, but I see OKB does a set of ZTZ-99 tracks, although I do wonder how close they are to t-72/90 tracks

group all the prepared AFVs on top of thread makes it easy to check and compare. i just cut the parts, haven't grout the gaps, adding the photo etched... this saved lot of "space" (2~30 nos of AFVs could reduce to 3 small boxes), which is a big problem in HK. But has risk to break weak parts, or lose small parts before paint 😵.

let them out not represent to paint them right now, all subject to my mood 😂btw, my next order may arrive on Sat😆

assemblied the HMMWV, the shape and details are not bad, but the tire really..., and overall QC is low.

Not really, more akin to type 74 tracks when not fitted with rubber pads.

HMMWV is horrible, so i quickly let three more military trucks play with it (i uploaded group photo on top of this thread) 😂

the AA gun come with middle east truck is not bad, rubber tires are much better than M1114, but its molding can't compare with M1240A1 MRAP (galaxy hobby).

you haven't bought it.... yet

You get two of the below.

PXL_20220820_204020892.jpg

And then the weapons sprue below, the box and the instructions say you only get the DSHK however there looks to be a missile pod and mount as well as a towed multiple missile launcher. The kit only comes with 10 rubber wheels so you would probably need to sacrifice the truck spares to build the towed missile launcher or get some from else where. You could probably cast copies and use them for the spares.

same as set B, even worse 😂

won't buy it at all since i choose appearance first, and prefer AA gun more than heavy MG. 😗

i skipped middle-east set A is because i chose to buy this beautiful WWII AA-gun (orange hobby), its molding quality is up to vespid, takom level. maybe even better, won't have too narrow parts, and in reasonable price 👍

coal tender

it has coal tender behind engine, just so tiny.😒

check the images of BR-86. there has a short, recessed portion right behind control room, that is the coal bunker. 😂

btw, BR-52 come with a standard coal tender.

i let the T-54B (Takom) out, even it has finer details, i still feel Revell ver's T-55A is a better model kit. 🤔

btw, another 5 AFVs joined the long waiting list on top of this thread, go check it. 😆
