Dads203
After a hectic month or so I need a bit of modelling tonic. The Bucc is on hold as its turned into a mare after the drop incident so I was looking for something a bit more straight forward to knock about. Chose this kit from the stash. And thought I'd add these, first time using them so hopefully it will go okay. Lets see how this goes together.
Hamden
Nice to see you back Dan. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one Stay safe Roger
Dads203
Cheers Roger, So the Quinta stuff, its good but fiddly, you have to glue these on so I used Mig Ammo's Ultra glue. They are very rubbery and flexible, quite weird really and I had a job getting the main IP's to stick down. I only had to trim one of the side decals so the fit is excellent. Verdict is - I like them, so so much better than what I could paint. No colour matching details so I played it by eye and got it wrong, as the paint I used for the tub dried it darkened up slightly but with the seats and pilots in it won't be so noticeable. I'm gong to weather up the tub anyway slightly. Enjoy
Dads203
More work on the pit, forward and rear combings painted up, HUD frame added. Dark grey wash done to the lower tub and some chipping done. The few bits of AM that are going to be used, some pilot figures will get added yet but I'm undecided on which to use? Enjoy
Dads203
A bit more work on the pit, I have found that Mig Ammo light Compass Ghost Grey is a good match for the Quinta decals so I have repainted some of the more obvious areas of the Cockpit now. Seats in progress Enjoy
Paulaero
Looking very nice, I like the 3D panels, would make an interesting Army co operation A/C in RAF wrap round round Grey/Green................
Dads203
Seats being worked on, these are glossed at the moment so look a little bright, I've used some Airscale decals so once dry they will get a nice matt varnish and weathered up. Enjoy
Dads203
Rear seat being sorted out, only a couple of decals more to add. Adding the nose weight, lots more to add yet. And the first colour on the exhausts, more colours to add yet.

Dads203
Fuselage closed up and wings on, I must say the the fit of this kit is one of the best I have built. lovely to pop together. No filler at this point only a smidgen of Vallejo Putty on the wing root and a tiny bit of Mr Surfacer to check the seams. Canopy check fit time. Dads203
More work done tonight. Gear bays painted up, some primer to check seams and the exhaust painted up, 6 colours used on the exhaust so far. Elevators modified as HB got them wrong, they butted up against the rudder so a small angled cut was required to allow the rudder to move. Same script with the outboard pylons, they would of fowled the alerions so these were cut down. Enjoy
Dads203
A few days into the build and a masking session on the prop. Quickboost control sticks with the Quinta decals added. Drop Tanks primed. I've also removed the seam from the main canopy and polished it up plus added all the strakes to the rear of the Fuselage. Enjoy

Enjoy Hi, The EMB-314 SUPER TUCANO has at the wing root/Fuselage some kind of "zig-zag" reinforcement , Now and here I can not show you the real EMB-314 joint. The Eduard Set , 1/48 , for the EMB-314 has it . SouthViper from Brazil 1

Pilots were donated from a Meng F-18F and fit quite well with some leg surgery. Nav lights painted up Enjoy
