Gidday Jon, I've read an account by Ted Briggs of his time in her, the battle and her sinking and of his survival. It appears that he passed under the ship and was then blown to the surface by escaping air. Regards, Jeff.
Faraway
Little by little, things are finding their way onto deck. I think these are ready use ammo cabinets, anyway the are next to the secondary armament. You can just about see them lurking behind and next to the 4" turrets I will be touching up the paint as I go. but she is starting to look like "the mighty 'ood" I'm finding I can do about an hour at a time, then the size starts to tell on the old eyes and joints. Faraway
I thought I'd add some of the shelter deck railings........... This is not the shortest, but close to. And here they are. A few boats added, two or three more to go.

Faraway
Ah, the end is in sight. All deck railings fitted, with very little fuss, I'm pleased to say. There are a few bits to fit to the deck, paint to touch up and the rear mast to assemble and fit to the deck. I'm doing the top part in brass as it might be more resilient to any rigging that I add. I don't think this glueing the top aerial to the mast is going to work, so I expect I'll have to solder it as I did the yardarm. Trouble is, it's so damn small, I'm not sure I can get the tip of my soldering iron into the space. Tomorrow will reveal all. Jon

Bertie McBoatface
Working like this in 1/700 is pinging astonishing, Jon. I shrunk the photos on my monitor to get a true idea of what you are doing. It's beyond my comprehension!
