Willow to the rescue ? **Finished**

Recommended Posts

Given the shortness of time I'm going to have available,  I've had second thoughts on the Spitfire and gone with this instead

The kit is moulded in bright orange,  so hardly any painting required, and although a couple of bits were painted already I'm going to repaint them so I stay within the rules of the GB.

More pictures later, early start to collect our Ukrainians tomorrow.

I can see this kit having a whole lot of memories attached to it when you get it finished.

And possibly, one slightly bemused Ukrainian family.

Just got back home, a very long but successful day, our 4 new friends are back in the not so sunny Scottish Highlands 😎

The girls immediately on their phones, on the WIFI and in their bedroom,  kids are really adaptable aren't they :like:

I will return to the Willow later on tonight if I get a chance.

I hope they like Chicken Kiev, Mrs Jockney has filled the freezer with it !

some of the instructions are a little vague

Is that for the kit or for hosting a family?

Total respect for taking them in (and building something in orange plastic!)

So with quite a busy day planned.... I put the kit in front of me and started the clock

The plan is to dip in and out of it as the opportunity presents itself.

Roll of lead put in the nose to prevent tail sitting and floats assembled

IMG_6359

The crew resemble a couple of sumo wrestlers and won't fit so had to have their biceps reduced

Crew in and windscreens fitted but poor match to the Orange of the kit, feels like deja vue all over again 🤣

Top wing on but struggling with the struts

More later

Great build Pat and what a weekend. I hope your new family is settling in.

Thanks mate, so much to do

Register with GPS, Dentist, optician.

Open bank account

Register at Job centre

Enrol the kids at their schools, get them uniforms :frantic:

If Mrs Jockney discovered I'd built a model during all this,  I'd be a dead man   !

Hi Pat,

congrats on another very orange build looking terrific.

Especially as you risked your life had you been discovered! Far worse than being caught smoking behind the shed...

Great show.
