Jagdpanther Ausf.G1, Meng 1/35

Recommended Posts

WIP. Hull is assembled. Breech of gun is assembled 🎉

It was a long pause. But I did some steps in assembling. I glued a whole hull of Jagdpanther. It was like Lego)) But in the upper armor plate appeared a small gap. I'll create on this place a weld seam and all will be good)

Changes on the hull:
- Cutted off the plastic on the sides of the hull - I will create it from Voyager in the future;
- Plastered places for fastening additional tracks. It will be created also from voyager photo-etched;
- Cutted plastic seams. I'll change it with seams from Tamiya epoxy putty;
- Cutted off the mudguards;
- Deepened the welds places on the armor. I will make new ones from Tamiya epoxy;

Other changes:
- Assembled lifting jack
- Assembled gun breech. It is a pity that it will not be visible.
- Other parts which I didn't glue to the hull, because I'll make a cast armor on them.

Also, I assembled a few parts from voyager. It was difficult without soldering iron, but it can be created very well with cyanoacrylate. It needs experience.

Photo report🙂

My first armor texture 🎉

The armor turned out well. I am 90% satisfied)

It was an unsurpassed experience and no theory would be as useful as trying to do it with your own hands. I am sure that the next model with the armor texture will be well done at 100%.

Agree with that. Very nice work, the texturing looks great and the metal work is super clean and tidy. 👍

And these metal parts also took a lot of nerves from me)))

The exhaust pipes had to be protected by metal parts. But I did not manage to fix them well and adjust to the dimensions. So I decided to pretend that the protective covers were torn off and only the fasteners remained 🤪 (Metal squares)

Unfortunately, there is not much time for scale modeling in a country that was attacked by the country-aggressor russia, but our country is fighting and we are trying to live despite all the difficulties💪

It was very long pause, but there is some progress:

- a copper cleaning rod was made. It was my first experience with hand-made metal parts. It turned out terrible, but I don't think it will be noticeable on the model at all. In order to make the bad result less noticeable, I damaged the cleaning rod.

- installed a headlight with minimal modification

- accessories and pioneer tools from photo etching

🎉installed a horseshoe on the tank🥳

- found in a friend a metal barrel for jagdpanther👀

- made cloth from Tamiya epoxy putty (Quick type)

🥳Jagdpanther is now assembled and the painting phase can begin. All photos of assembled model I will add later⏲️

 🤯 Difference between plastic and photoetched parts is incredible:
