Jinxman
Reporting for duty is one of Airfix's recent re-releases. Built this one from a blister pack back in the day - the plastic says 1974 so I imagine that's when it would have been as new releases from Airfix were snapped up asap back then. OOB for this one, can't do a fat lot on Saturday as we are out, and so I'll be plumping for the Great Escape option. Also a nod to the Turning Japanese GB, as ongoing builds in the Matchbox GB preclude me from entering . The plastic looks lovely, and the tracks look quite delicate.
Hockeyboy76
Good luck with your build and those tracks.
Enzo the Magnificent
Looking forward to seeing this. I'm building the same tank from Tamiya's 1/35 kit in the Turning Japanese GB.

Jinxman
Here we go! Out all day today, so a quick start to get the plastic primed with some rattlecan auto primer - also tried the tracks to see if it helps get some paint on later. Session time = 2 minutes Elapsed time = 2 minutes
Jinxman
A bit of a late start today as the red wine was flowing freely yesterday. Priming worked fine, and then started with the hull and turret - detail and fit are lovely. A bite to eat I reckon and then we can get going again. Session time = 53 minutes Elapsed time = 55 minutes

Thanks - hoping the hairy sticks are still working as I am away from the airbrush this weekend. Another small session of assembly and cleaning parts up gets us here - helped by a tasty cheese and onion roll or two. Slow progress really, but keeping at it. Jinxman
Another short session and a few more bits tidied, and a little bit of filling done. Session time = 51 minutes Elapsed time = 3 hours 28 minutes

Jinxman
Started early this morning - no point keeping tabs on the time anymore as there aren't enough hours left in the day. Most assembly is done, painting has started - just having a rest for a spot of something to eat. Lovely little kit really, and glad there is no airbrush action on this one. The primer on the tracks was a waste of time - it's flaking off everywhere - more unnecessary work .
stevej60
Great progress JM,good point mentioning the total time spent,we may be producing these builds in a 24 hour slot but spend a lot less than that on the build which a lot of folk forget or don't realise.
Jinxman
Lunch was avocado on sourdough, with raspberry and blueberry frangipani - yum yum. Turret is about done, road wheels have been matted, and need to dry a bit. Washing to come next on the hull. Dreaded tracks will be last. Just realised the time on the camera is an hour out - d'oh.

psdavidson
Lunch looks far better than my corned beef sandwich. The Chi-Ha is looking good. It was another kit that was never on my radar as a kid for some reason. Got one in the stash now though. /P

Jinxman
Gone as far as my patience will allow - supper was sausage pasta with more pie. All in all a very enjoyable little kit, thanks to everyone who looked in.
