Italeri C-119 Flying Boxcar in Indian Air Force 1/72

Recommended Posts

  • tomthounaojam changed the title to Italeri C-119 Flying Boxcar in Indian Air Force 1/72

That is a real cracker, beautifully made and painted:clap:. Did the Indian roundals come with the kit? or did you use aftermarket. I ask as I have been gifted a Connie with square windows which I want to do as an Indian Air Force, or Navy, example but I cant source any large roundals.

Terrific Indian C-119. It's just perfect. Hopefully to see an Indian DHC Caribou from you in the future.👍

Selamat Petang, Yes, I do plan to built a one in future but no joy in finding a one, but have seen a real one here in Shillong and one in Port Dickson Army museum

Thank you, no the roundels didn't come with kit I have some printed one using it from it. May know what size of roundels you are looking I will look into it or ask friends here who might have spares, cheers

I did not realized before, that C-119 was of size of C-130...

Because it wasn't. The trick in this photo is depth of perspective.

The C-119 is roughly the size of PB4Y-2 Privateer (33x26m vs. 34x23m), while C-130J-30 is bigger than B-29 (40x35m vs. 43x30m)

BTW. Tom - splendid work 👍

Cheers
