How can I just missed this thread! This is absolutely my most favourite F/A-18 build for now! The in flight dirty pose is just awesome!

That's very kind of you Zhou, many thanks 😊

At last! Truly realistic weathering!

Very nice indeed, particularly the cockpit and crew (and weathering).

An awesome build of a very tricky and over engineered kit. Nicely done.

Cheers,

Tom.

Thanks again Tom, sounds like you have some knowledge of the challenges of the kit!

All the best,

Alan

No problem. I always enjoy seeing the outcomes of your builds. A couple of the guys at my local club have tackled the kit and shared their frustration at some of the dubious design decisions made. I still want to build the 'F' though 🙂

Cheers,

Tom

Alan, if this is what you can do with an "inexpensive" kit I shudder to think how magnificent another kit would turn out in your mastercraft hands.:gobsmacked: Well done and excellent don't seem to to be adequate enough of a complement to do this build justice. But Well done and most excellent!

Can't thank you enough for that Loren, very kind indeed 🙏

I finished the single seat version recently for a commission build ( the only thing that kept it from having an uncontrolled flight into terrain incident)

Knowing what a swine of a thing it is I'm in awe of what you've achieved

Well done that man, well done indeed

Looks fantastic Al. I really like the 'wheels down' pose, very effective.

Thanks a lot James 🙏 I just saw the new Top Gun on IMAX and suddenly I want to make another Super Hornet 😂

Haha I just saw it too. Luckily I have a legacy Hornet on the go, think I might line up the Tomcat next! 😂
