John B (Sc)
I have just finished reading 'Air Power Supremo', a biography of Sir John Slessor, Marshal of the Royal Air Force. Superb book, well worth reading. 'Jack' Slessor was a pilot during the First World War, became a senior commander during the second, including a spell I/C Coastal Command and finished his career as Chief of the Air Staff and is the man who pushed the 'V' force into existence. He was an impressive theorist and also an early advocate of air interdiction before and during WW2. Written by Willian Pike and published by Pen & Sword - in my view this one is highly recommended for anyone who has an interest in the RAF and the development of its strategies.
