Paul J
Another completion today. The final one of my Aurora models restorations. This one being the neat little kit of the Cherokee (or spam cans as common called by spotters I recall but also applied to other types). What I basically did was to strip off all the old paint, tidy up some of the joins and repaint with appliance white after some white primer. The cheatline, fin emblem and reggie and even the stripes around the wheel spats were custom reprints by a friend , of the original Aurora decals. The solid red areas on the fuselage sides and engine cowl top are all solid red decal pieces cut to shape from the stripe decals set that Xtradecal do. The curved bit just above the windscreen is decal too and carefully cut to shape after a paper tracing was taken before all the decorating. the long bits down the side had fine stripes to cover any errors noted. In company with my previous renovations the Aztec and Jet Commander.
