This is about 90% finished and was what I got up to yesterday.

 

It's a display shelf made up to look like a museum .

That’s an interesting idea.  I always think models look better in a context rather than just there.  Maybe that’s because my models are not that great & it hides them a bit!  But a museum set means you can display anything

That looks good.  I did a card box essentially of a Dutch airforce storage / maintenance facility at Hoofddorp and used it to display various jets.  Could do with rebuilding it in some more substantial materials like your shelf 

 

Looked more like this while it was coming together.

 

 

To really sell the view arranging the vehicles as a display like you have makes it look more real.  Maybe add some roped off sections or mock information boards to bring it to life?

Great minds think alike - that's the finishing touches I was considering . Just needs some thought on how to execute

Cheers.  I saw api tire years ago and thought it looked like a model so the obvious thing was to make a model of it!  This is the real thing
