DrumBum
Greetings all, Just completed this F-14A from VF-33. The kit is not bad but has some serious fit issues around the cockpit section to fuselage fit and the radome fit. I could not get the external fuel tanks to attach in the correct position as the main gear legs obstructed them so i moved them about 1mm inboard. I used to think that Hasegawa was the cats meow but after building several Tamiya kits I probably wont be overly enthusiastic about Hasegawa again. Its out of the box except for the decals and Eduard cockpit. Used Tamiya, Mr Hobby and AK paints and AK weathering pencils. Cheers folks Edited April 16, 2022 by DrumBum 42

Farmerboy
It may not build like a Tamiya but you have made such a good job of this you would never know, excellent!

Ian
Nicely done - probably my favourite F-14 Squadron marking. Best from NZ.
pacificmustang
Excellent work. I can’t help but notice how clear and sharp your transparencies are Bruce

Bell209
I'd love to see how this turned out as I have one in the stash but, sadly, the links don't work for me.

sohoppy
Excellent work. You have wisely resisted the tendency to 'weather' naval planes as if they have spent the last 40 years in the Amazon rainforest! It's all the better for it.

I always handle them with surgical gloves too.

Arthur_Dent
Amazing build, I've got the Hasegawa F-14A in my stash and I really should get round to building it at some point in the near future.
Jabo31
I can hardly believe that this is a Hasegawa kit. You probably made the best out of it. I put mine aside as I am having some issues with the landing gear bay and air intakes. I wish I was that far. Really superbly built.
