François Escudé
Hi Guys, I'm new in this nice forum, I build 1/72 scale airplanes for ..years ?? began with Airfix and Frog models bags in the seventies .. But I never take care about antennas.. and I must admit that's add a lot to a model in fact. In this scale they should be very thin , so I tried to make them with Mig rigging witch is nice for mast to tail work. but when it comes to side to tail or wing to tail ( ie for early P-40's.) it's not that easy to use.. That's the reason of my post. may be there is an answer somewhere in the forum, if so , sorry for my question and could you give me the link to find info. Anyway thanks for your interest and answers !! cheers !!
Hook
Thin guitar string (.008/9) is my weapon of choice. Cheers, Andre
Space Ranger
Several solutions: "Invisible" thread (nylon monofilament), fly tying thread, medical suture thread/steel wire, AK Mega-Thin (0.02 mm), Uschi van der Rosten's Superfine (0.01 mm), or even stretched sprue. 72modeler
For such a short run, like the IFF wires that go from stabilizer to fuselage, I either use sprue or very fine nichrome wire that I got from a friendly orthodontist. Mike

VG 33
Hello François A picture is better than a long speech : The rigging is made from 0,08mm fishing wire and painted in silver. Patrick
fubar57
I use Uschi van der Rosten. Very stretchy and sticks almost immediately to a small dab of CA

fishplanebeer
Mike, How fine is the nichrome wire that you use please? I can find it down to 0.1mm on Amazon but does it need to be finer? Regards Colin. Ps. I presume you use ca to fix it in place?
