Bobby No Mac Posted June 25, 2023 Share Posted June 25, 2023 I think I'm fairly certain I'll be making my AMT Klingon Bird of Prey... ...but while helping to sort through my parents' house I found this: I started this in the early 90s but lost interest mainly due to the side consoles not going all the way around, but also I remember the outer flooring didn't go together that well (but that was more likely user error). Evidently this was some time before I started using masking tape If I was going to do this I'd strip the paintwork (presuming you can strip Humbrol enamels?) and be largely starting it again so it should qualify under the 10% rule. But now part of me has started formulating more elaborate plans of turning it into a box diorama where you look from the corridor of the Enterprise D into the holodeck recreation to the TOS bridge, à la the TNG episode Relics: hmm, maybe something to chew over in a more long-term project. I'm in GMT+10 so ideally it'd be someone who lives in Europe or Africa.
