...I'm not obsessed, honest!

My major purchase at Telford was this, the new 1:72(ish) 2001 Space Clipper

But I suspect I'll have built it before the GB begins - unless its an early one!

You're on BM so you must be obsessed 🤪 we all are!

Or even BOAC? I've always wondered how this thing was supposed to be launched. My inner child wants it on a rail like Fireball XL5. Ready Venus?

BOAC would certainly fit you can't get more overseas than in space 🤣

There was a theory that it would be launched on the back of another vehicle

I think that was one of the concepts drawn up before Kubrick dropped the take-off scenes before filming started. There was another with the Clipper on something like an AN-225, however I can't remember where I saw the artwork.

To make proper use of this reply I've provisionally decided on a project if I can find some Floplast 6D143 I need about a meter. Hint HERE For All Mankind has a lot to answer for. BTW there is a lot of rocket porn at the link, you may be some time.

I am planning on joining in on this one -   I’ve got the 1/72 Horizon Models Mercury Redstone kit in the stash, and this will be the push to get it built!

At the moment I'm undecided between the Bird of Prey or Apollo 17:

Decisions, decisions...

Well, it's a pretty long GB, so.....

Please add me to this list.  I have lots of sci-fi and even a few Real Space that would qualify.

If you are a Thunderbirds are Go fan you can do 3 or 5.

Either build would be an excellent choice - and off topic but whatever, Kelly's Heroes is my all-time favourite war movie.

At one time I had Direct TV and a DVR along with a DVD recorder, I made a keeper copy with commentary by the late, great Bob Osborn. I have no idea how many times I've watched it except to say "a lot." At the end, Osborn comes on to explain that Eastwood and his director had issues over the editing of the film, leading Eastwood to demand more control over his films, and bringing up his next movie, "Play Misty for Me." I think I saw that one maybe twice. I can think of few flicks made by anyone I've bothered to see more than this one, For Clint Eastwood movies, only "Where Eagles Dare," and "The Outlaw Josey Wales" come close.

There's one thing I never understood about that movie.  Given the number of Typhoons and P-47s that were flying around, was it wise for Oddball to swap his Sherman for a Tiger?

Good movie choices, my top 3 war flicks are The Longest Day, Kelly's Heroes and Where Eagles Dare though Greyhound was pretty good and I also like The Battle of Britain, Tora, Tora, Tora and Battleground.

Officially, I'm in with these, Monogram Real Space with real Real space upgrades:

This is to include the Real Space engineering drawings for all of the associated launch vehicles for the Gemini program:

I'm thinking all I need to build a complete 1/48th scale Gemini rocket is some correct size PVC pipe and an excuse.

Without the success of Gemini, there wouldn't have been an Apollo.

I think I've decided on my subject for this GB.

I pulled the kit out tonight and took some measurements for the LEDs that I'm planning to use to light it.

Here's the Hasegawa 1/48 kit for a size comparison.

Now to pick up paint for it. Probably need a fair bit.

I just have to go shopping. As a lifelong Dr Who fan I need a tardis ( although that would be a good scratch build candidate)

War films. Tora, Tora, Tora, Operation crossbow, Fury(love that battle with the Tiger).

But 1917 could edge in there somewhere.
