When we get to that stage it's too late to correct anything. If that is a test shot and not a 3D print it might be too late.

And GWH has a history of getting it wrong at the start.

From memory, MiG-29 9-12 was revised 2-3 times, P-61 took 5-6 fixes to get to the definitive boxing. Something about F-15 engine humps.

Right you are. I also agree on the GW F-15 major shape inaccuracies. Especially the wide canopy and those fat upper engine bulges, coupled with quite inaccurate Exhaust, which are also well under-scaled! I also found the intakes to be grossly inaccurate,  as the mid section of the ducts are approximately 72nd scale in cross section.

GW doesn't have a good record of shape and detail accuracy. It's a shame, as their tooling is quite nice.

If we want a near perfect A-10 model. It'll probably be a lot longer, if Tamiya ever gets around to it, If at all.

Meantime. We work with what we have, so hopefully their A-10 won't have as many shape inaccuracies as their F-15s. Academy has a few significant issues itself.

Or like some others they receive excelent feedback and choose to ignore it, and then oh so quietly chage their tooling. And sell the same kit subject 2-3 times to their fanboys, more expensive each time :D

Fanboys? These are model planes. Perspective is required.

If you would kindly point me to that discussion, haven't seen any apart from engine intakes and I'm eyeing that kit myself as the price is more than OK.

Seems to me some people posting in this thread need to sit back relax and wind their necks in.

Given the price point on GWH here I will stick with my new Academy kit as that looks fairly good to my eyes.

The nose pudgy profile is pretty much in plain sight, but the fat Nacelle pylons, hmmm are you sure you want to see? Bec once you see it, you can't unsee it!

Also note Academy tooled the nacelles as one piece, with clean inner cylinders which is impressive,  however the real A-10 Nacelles are NOT a round cross section, but oblong.

To make rome for the accessory gearbox and oil tank I guess. Front and rear are circular though right ? Academy, GWH and others did oblong center of nacelle ?

Interesting that its due to come out this year when we don't even have a render image yet.

Now read the start of this thread, and be embarrassed 😉

Not sure why I should be embarrassed. The beginning of this thread links to another thread that talks about four other manufacturers, half of the links don't load for me. If renders exist, that's fine, my point stands. The kit is suppose to release this year, and all they have to show at the model show from this week was a poster.

To be fair there are plenty of renders on the first page and sprue shots too. Don't know why they didn't show more this week, maybe they are still tweaking things. I do like the approach of others more, who makes announcement shortly before release, like the surprise release of Airfix's Sea King or Me 410. But they can take their time to get it right too.

Full build images are in this thread, plus some sprue shots.

You are simply saying you don't buy stuff you don't like. Hardly an earth-shattering statement.

No. I am saying that I value input of various "rivet counters" and "armchair experts" and even "the red lines people" from the CAD render phase to the released kit to make an informed decision if I can live with the kit or not.

But some folks take issue with that with their snarky posts. Their money, their time.

I'm waiting for the plastic before making final evaluations. Even then, I'll be gearing up for possible enhancement and correction accessories. 😜
