Big Dave S Posted October 16, 2022 Author Share Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) Progress shot. Painting that grenade Horizon Blue has triggered the old Armée Francaise cravings again. So far, since spreading the mortar mix over the base, I have painted it all over (ground material) with an enamel matt varnish wash, to set the sand and cement. This was done in two sessions, so the area done last night has today had a Tamiya Smoke wash, along with the scraps of timber. I painted the "OF1916" grenade and reattached the wire cutters after they popped off yesterday. I like this groundwork material because it just needs washes and drybrush highlights.
