Tamiya Grill Mesh substitute

Does anyone know where I can get some of this mesh from?  Or can anyone suggest a suitable substitute?  It's standard Tamiya car grill mesh, and I'd like to use some on a Revell kit I'm making.

That looks very much like insect mesh, could be worth searching for that if no better alternatives come up.

Try a company named Scale Link. They carry different photo etch mesh patterns.

This is horribly Old School but when I were a lad I used to buy a cheap mesh tea strainer off a local market stall and cut the mesh from it.  Crude but surprisingly effective.

Isopon ally mesh could work. About £2.50 a sheet.

I suspect tea strainers are hard to find these days as hardly anyone drinks loose leaf tea.  I can't think when I last saw a tea strainer in the shops although I'll confess that I've not looked that hard.

Tea strainer available in most cook shops and hardware shops round here.  An alternative would be wedding veil or net curtain or any similar fabric, although the smallest quantity would do a lot of models! 😎
