1/48 Hasegawa Phantom, 301 Squadron JASDF

Recommended Posts

hi all,

Here's my 1/48 Hasegawa Phantom finished in the markings of 301 Squadron to celebrate the end of F-4 use by both the squadron and the JASDF. It has Wolfpack updates in the cockpit, Aires wheel wells, Master brass pitot tubes, Aires exhausts and D-Mold full length intakes. Most of the resin only brings the kit to the level of the Zoukei Mura offering and although the resin offers far better detail in the wheel wells, i would rather build the Zoukei Mura kit as the attention to detail and fit is far in advance of the older Hasegawa model.

To be honest, it was a strugle to finish after doing the ZM kit first, especially trying to match the yellow colour on the fuel tanks. Still, it's done now, looks pretty good and i can move on! Hope you like it

You've done a far better job on your Phantom that I'm doing on my current Hasegawa F-4G build so I can honestly say I'm very impressed.

Thanks for the comments. Compared to the ZM kit, it is a slog to finish well.
