WW2 British Armoured Train

Recommended Posts

This was built a very long time ago when we [my family] had a bit of a basic model railway set up

It was built on Hornby rolling stock and was built as a runner

Not really meant to be very accurate, just a representation

That looks like a lot of fun.

This doesn't. It is an armoured train that ran on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway in Kent from the dark days of October 1940. I don't think these soldiers (of the Somerset Light Infantry apparently) were out just for a bit of fun. Desperate times.

The railway is still running if you fancy a visit.
