Marcel
A SAAF Mustang with RAF insignias, No. 5 squadron in Italy, 1944. Airfix kit "from the box" with Eduard seat belts and Xtradecal decals. Gunze paints and varnishes as usual. Nothing special but a nice relax.

Spitfire31
Very nice Mustanag indeed! A personal reflection: the impression of authenticity is partly disqualified by filling in all the engraved lines with the same black ink. The top of the fin and rudder becomes an incomprehensible mess because of this laissez faire habit. The small square on the fin, just below the top, is a rudder balance. It belongs to the rudder, so the rudder hinge line shouldn't go through it – on the contrary it should be filled in or at least not emphasized in black! Likewise the black lines separating the top fairings of the fin and the the rudder should, at the most, be indicated by a sligthly different colour that the actual skin, if at all. Look at a photo of a full sixe Mustan and you'll see what I mean. As I noted, this is a personal reflection on an otherwise truly excellent P-51.
