Sponsor decal id

Can any one help identifying thie attached black and orange logo? Seen on Escort Mk1's in the 1970 World Cup Rally. A clearer reference would be very helpful, thanks.

Quite a few images of the car online and not a single one of them with a legible logo.

The main logo appears to be something like "Solstices"

The last word of the bottom line of text is almost certainly "choice"

It's a long shot, but could it be the roll cage manufacturer Safety Devices?  I know they a sponsored Ford in the past and their colours are black and orange - good luck in your research - Andy.

Here's a larger version of the photo. It looks like "Services" and the last word on the bottom looks like "Choice." 

 

Trofeu Models made a 1/43 model of that car and it has the logo in question on it. Perhaps you could contact them through their Facebook page and ask if they can identify it for you? Facebook link I think this is their web site with an email link: Trofeu Models

I agree that the top word is "Services" but I am not sure what the word below "Services" is. I think that the bottom three words are "Ford Team's Choice".

Thanks for the replies. No image I have come across, including many of the above, has had enough clarity to make out the text. I agree with most about the best guesses. A search for historic logos for Safetey Devices, along with other motorsport related companies, came up with nothing either. The best image prize goes to Dave, I'm hoping I can catch the printer before the presses roll.

Thanks, I'd already discounted that one. If anyone does come up with the definitive logo they will have to get their tipex and crayons out 🙂

Had a look through book "The Works Escorts".  Top word is definitely Services.

There is a decal sheet for this car;

 

 

Bit difficult to make out the details, but purchasing the sheet may solve a lot of problems.

I had a look at that sheet.... I don't think the mysterious decal is on it. The sticker is clearly visible in one of the side on shots of Mikkola's car....except 2/3 of it is torn off
