fishplanebeer
Like most I find Blu-Tak can leave residues which is particularly frustrating when using thin 'worms' for masking off camouflage, but equally I find White Tac lacks the required adhesion so that it often moves or comes away from the model's surface completely during painting/spraying. I know I'm probably teaching folks how to suck eggs but quite by accident I ended up combining the two and found that a mix of the two seems to have the best of both worlds in that it stays put but leaves no residue. I can't be specific about the ratio as I'm still doing some tests but a ration of 1:1 of 2:1 white to 'blu' seems to work pretty well. It does need some vigorous kneeding to arrive at a pale blue colour but it certainly seems to be worth the effort. Again apologies if this is already widely known but just thought it might be worth sharing. Regards Colin.
