couldn't believe it , found the right size syren thread behind my desk , just enough for the mizzen mast , so I have started the lanteen spar , everything is loose at the moment , I will post pic's of the sail when it is done .

Looking good there Steve is there a secret sequence for building up the mast and rigging so as you do not get your self into a knot when adding the ropes. 🤔

generally it's the bottom part of the mast , burton pendants , shrouds , preventer stays , in that order , then just keep working your way up , i leave the rat lines till I've finished the inside running rigging and sails , if I do them ! so I can work between the shrouds more easily .

hope this helps beefy , if you need more info just let me know .

Gidday Steve, that's very clever and very well done. I was wondering, what do you drink to relax after a hard day's sail making? 😁 Will you have reefing points in your main sails? Regards, Jeff.

thanks jeff , well a mans not a camel now , 😆 .at this stage I don't think I will be doing reefing points , as I will be doing mostly furled sails , or being drawn up sails .

but I intend to still do all the clue , cringle and reefing lines .

I hope it will work ok with English beer boxes - I may have to try different brands to find the most suitable. 🍻 Cheers!
