The missing part in the main wheel bay made. And then quickly painted with some XF 4. Oil cooler glued together and dry fitted. Rear cockpit rack painted. And the seat was given a coat of XF 62 Olive drab. Not worried about the roughness , there is some Mr Neo Masking fluid under it. Stay safe and cool. Replacement barrels cut from 0.5 mm brass tube ,internal dia 0.3 mm, near enough for a rivet counter I suppose. Seat armour paint XF 1. And the equipment rack was re-coated with XF 62 Olive Drab. Just a few more bits to do before I can finish off the inners. Head rest painted and seat weathered. Seat belts fitted. Etc , etc. Stay safe. Simon. Ciao And there is more Giorgio. Head rest painted Red Brown, as per instructions. While that dried, gun barrels fitted. Then back to the seat again to remove the masking gel applied earlier. Just the seat belts to do, which I am a bit nervous about, but what the feck. Stay safe. Simon.

Cheers, Alistair Cheers Alistair, luckily I some brass rod left, my model shops have now closed, the nearest one is a 10 minute train ride away. Thanks @Hamden and @Dr. Quack. OK folks, pressure bottle added to the U/C bay. Ready for varnish/weathering. Now the seat belts. Well, not great, but viewed from above will be passable. I suppose I can get on with the rest of the cockpit now. Stay safe. Simon.

If you wanted to add them I suppose. On 03/09/2022 at 14:43, AliGauld said: Ooh Simon that's all looking really pretty. Looking forward to further progress. Cheers, Alistair Cheers Alistair, slowly getting there , see below. Thanks @shortCummins and @Dr. Quack. Right, work on the rear of the cockpit. Rack, tank and brace installed. And then populated by the equipment. Oh, numb nutz here though he had finished the U/C bay but forgot the bottom panel. Now fixed. It`s also part of the cockpit floor too. Leaving things to set for a while, with just a couple of bits to add to the cockpit later. Well tea is cooked all bar the Spaghetti, yep Spag Bol. Stay safe. John. 🇺🇦 Cheers John, hope all is well with you and yours. Thanks @elger , @shortCummins and @Dr. Quack. Well folks, sorry for the late reply but life rears it`s ugly head again. These Eduard kits are great but their locating pins are very small and make things a bit frustrating to say the least when trying to dry fit the cockpit . So. You can see the size of the pins ( Look at the one on the upper engine cover. So my plan is to add some tabs to make lining up a bit easier. Plastic strips. Then fitted wit C/A . I will leave those to set before trying them out. Well it`s peeing down again so no spraying but hopefully tomorrow? Stay safe. Simon.

Thanks @elger, @Sturmovik, @Biggles87, @Dr. Quack, @Hamden and @shortCummins. Sorry for no recent updates but things have been a bit up in the air so to speak. The SWMBO has had some poor health so the bench has been second thoughts in my mind. Glad to say the she is better now , as such with appointments arranged with the consultants. She as always sends greetings to all. Well, time on the bench. Gloss varnish out W/S Gloss. Cockpit and wheel bay done. Tyres as well. Then out with the Yellow X 8. Prop tips and spinner. Next!!! Alcad Black Primer for these parts. Canopy. Windscreen? Cockpit coaming . And some P.E. , grill and brace bar. Let that lot dry before the next job, washes.... Stay safe.
