There definitely is a lot of lovely details in this kit, I probably should get hold of one - and you are making a great job with it, Simon

Ciao

Go for it Giorgio, they even have marked out where the gun bays go on the upper wings. If you wanted to add them I suppose.

Just had a catch up, I didn’t realise I’d got so far behind.

You’re making good steady progress, keep up the good work.

John. 🇺🇦

Cheers John, hope all is well with you and yours.

Thanks @elger  , @shortCummins and @Dr. Quack.

Well folks, sorry for the late reply but life rears it`s ugly head again.

These Eduard kits are great but their locating pins are very small and make things a bit frustrating to say the least when trying to dry fit the cockpit .

So.

DSCN2867

You can see the size of the pins ( Look at the one on the upper engine cover.

So my plan is to add some tabs to make lining up a bit easier.

Plastic strips.

DSCN2868

Then fitted wit C/A .

DSCN2869

DSCN2870

DSCN2872

I will leave those to set before trying them out.

Well it`s peeing down again so no spraying but hopefully tomorrow?

Stay safe.

Simon.

I know what you mean about the locating pins.

Nice work around though I may well nick that idea.

Alistair

Something had to be done about them, it was getting quite annoying, but they worked.

More than welcome Johnny.

Thanks @elger, @Sturmovik, @Biggles87, @Dr. Quack, @Hamden and @shortCummins.

Sorry for no recent updates but things have been a bit up in the air so to speak. The SWMBO has had some poor health  so the bench has been second thoughts in my mind.

Glad to say the she is better now , as such with appointments arranged with the consultants.

She as always sends greetings to all.

Well, time on the bench.

Gloss varnish out W/S Gloss.

DSCN2873

Cockpit and wheel bay done.

DSCN2874

Tyres as well.

DSCN2875

Then out with the Yellow X 8.

Prop tips and spinner.

DSCN2876

DSCN2877

Next!!! Alcad Black Primer for these parts.

Canopy.

DSCN2878

DSCN2879

Windscreen?

DSCN2880

Cockpit coaming .

DSCN2881

And some P.E. , grill and brace bar.

DSCN2882

Let that lot dry before the next job, washes....

Stay safe.

Simon.
