edjbartos
Hello everyone, a very quick update, made my first mistake on this build, not a big one, but annoying all the same. In the instructions you have a choice to assemble with or without screens... I should know by now, I've constructed enough Miniart kits, If I looked further to the end of the instruction book I would have found my answer. If you have screens or side skirts which fit over the wheels then you need to "assemble with screens". I decided not to, as I didn't look further, not sure why , must have had a senior moment! When the penny finally dropped it was too late as the parts where well and truly glued. So anyone building a Miniart M3 just be aware. So I have had to make some little protrusions as shown below... This is the reason why you need them... Not to worry that teaches me... AGAIN! So I have carried on assembling, this is where I am at... Be back when I have done some more all the best Ed 13

Now that you have brought it to my attention, I might have the screen on the side with the full tracks, and no screen on the side with the cutaway components. I think that would be interesting and make sense for a 'training tank' in a tech school of a museum.

Jasper dog
These things happen, we've all done it, or will do it. What matters is you've overcome, as if it was ever in doubt.. Nice progress Ed, starting to take shape.

PlaStix
Hi Ed. That looks like it's going together beautifully (despite your senior moment) and that was a good save with the plasticard. Kind regards, Stix

edjbartos
Hi there folks, carrying on with my build, I have now added some more to the other side of the body, when doing the side walls it's good to have the top plate handy so that you can adjust and make sure that everything lines up before the glue sets. I have added the side doors on both sides with copper grab handles above to replace the plastic ones. View also showing the aerial mount on the back plate with filler caps below... I replaced the plastic .30-caliber machine guns with aluminium tubing... Next up is the engine cover plate and storage boxes at the rear.... Be back soon, thanks for looking...
