Su-122 with interior 1/35 from MiniArt

Hallo

This is my first vehicle with a gun but not a tank.

Since I have experience now with MiniArt interior kits and the T-34, I think to have a good starting position.

Here I will also use the older track chain from Friul, which is much better as the kit’s track.

I started with the floor and all the tiny equipment.

In general, the painting pattern is very different to the T-34.

I have no idea if the instruction is correct.

I can assume that it is so, since the colors mentioned here make sense.

Even if they use in Su-122 production another primer as in T-34 production.

In one way I am sure, it will look different!

Well, the construction goes straight ahead. Just bearing in mind to deepen holes!

Next day some oil, brush painting, dry brushing and some details more to spray.

Hallo

Now a little progress.

What I have to remark is the instruction:

This is in many occasions a horror.

Just jumping from one issue to the next.

Nothing complete.

About one thirds of parts, in the next round also and so on.

You find the drawing of instruction one page later and so on.

It is so confusing.

Just a horror.

Like intended teasing!

If we had to work in an assembly line with such an instruction, we never would have built a car or locomotive.

Beside this you must jump in one matter within 3 or 5 different sprues!

Beside all this some parts are shown in a projection, that you cannot recognize it at all, and worse you cannot understand the location where the part should be placed!

Trial and error.

Just my experience with the T-34 from MiniArt saves me.

And for the T-34 it was my experience with AFV Club T-34.

Do not relay on the assembly steps. Consider all by your own!

Well, so far…

@Flyingdutchman It is good! As I said, just strong nerves are required for the instructions.

On the other side, drilling holes more deep as they are.

Some recktangle pins have to checked if they fit! You see such a mishap, at the rigt side upper front radio! I must correct the painting there!

I have a lot of the kits. Now I decided to bild a serie of Russian tanks.

The Panzer IV Ausführung J is so I asume, the most difficult in my stash!

Happy modelling
