Cheers Greg 👍 Thanks Greg. Actually Matchbox do supply a pair of bombs and wing racks, but of course these weren't fitted as the Thunderbolt groups were flying escort missions at that time. They were equipped with a single belly tank, which isn't in the kit. But I quite like the clean look! Rabbit Leader Posted April 4, 2022 Share Posted April 4, 2022 Congratulations Ian, this Jug has turned out wonderfully well and I’m glad to see that your AFV modelling skills can also be extended to aircraft models. Despite the raised panel lines, the overall shape of Matchbox’s P-47 looks good and you have pulled this whole package together just beautifully. I totally agree, this is such an inspirational build. I'd say the Tamiya kit would be the best 1/72 Razorback out there, however Academy also do one although from memory the tail fin looked quite undersized compared to the Detail & Scale drawings.
