mackem01
Does anyone make the above items as an aftermarket spare in 48th. I find the lumps on kits just don't cut it and making them with my stubby fingers is a bit of a grind.

Paul Thompson
Also Part of Poland, and a fair few on the Extratech and Brengun general PE sheets (the latter looks to be a version of the Extratech set). The Eduard ones have the greatest variety and finesse, but you also get a lot of waste in the form of two-dimensional turnbuckles, which I don't really like. What I do after knifing off the kit part is drill a small locating hole and cut the PE horn from the fret so as to leave a bit of the attachment to act as a pin. That way it will be robust enough if you want to use tensioned rigging. Paul. 1
berman
An alternative method is to make your own control horns with the upper and lower horns being connected. Cut the right and left sides of the horns from ,005 or .010 sheet styrene. Bend some very fine stiff wire (tempered .003 inch diameter stainless steel) with two sharp ninety degree bends. Cement the right and left halves together with the wire sandwiched in between. Saw a slot into the aileron, rudder, or elevator and cement in place. Insert the ends of the wire into drilled holes. This method is much stronger than cementing an individual control horn to just the surface as there is very little contact area.
