Ozzy
Well done on the Bronco tracks, I think I did about 3 before they went in the bin.
PlaStix
Hi Robert. Good to see the tracks going together. Good luck with the rest. Kind regards, Stix
Robert Stuart
Some progress with the tank - factory applied appliqué armour has been added, and the spare track armour is ready for paint. Tracks dry fitted - the turret tracks will sit higher than this There isn't enough space for a fourth drape of tracks. Having my doubts about the two Churchill links in the reference photo: - The jerry cans are obviously posed. - The spare wheel on the fender, in front of the house, looks insecure. - There are Sherman links behind the Churchill tracks. Why would this crew use just two Churchill links? I know the Canadians could use Churchill tracks as extra armour, but, when they did, they used lots of links. Just two links makes little sense for a fighting vehicle. These Churchill links are in the centre of the image ... Could they, along with the jerry cans and oddly placed spare wheel, be there for the artistry in the picture, and not a practical addition on a fighting vehicle?

Not fake news, even back then! Looking closely at the photo you are using, the Sherman track links draped down the front do not have the end connectors fitted, you can just make out the track pin ends, these 'runs' of extra track links were usually held together with steel wire. The two chaps leaning against the front of the Sherman, in the gap between their heads you can see type T-49 track links (steel block type) As for the Churchill links, perhaps they have been wired on but it could be that they and a few other items have just been placed there for the photo.
