Seeing Bertie's Boat reminded me that I have some photos of a ship on (or in?) the Thames, taken in September 2019:

I was told, if you believe it, that this was, at one time, a ferry on the Mersey; you'd have to check that.
There are a few other stories about her, some of which may be true.

There are about 20 images in this set, all taken from the same side.

That is indeed a Mersey ferry. It's MV Royal Iris - The Fish 'n' Chip Boat.

Well here we are at the voting. After the first night of round the globe voting, very early days in the poll, we haven't leapt explosively from the start blocks. No matter! It's a two week voting event - a jog in the park, not a sprint. If all 50 of us cast a vote we'll barely break a sweat as we cross the line.

Half of the proposals will go through, vote sometime in the next fortnight and we will be one of those winners.

Yes. Looking at the early voting I was dissapointed at the performance of this GB,,, consoling myself that decay doesn't happen overnight though and there's plenty of time yet . Just don't let the sand of time bury this proposal folks

I’ve voted… have you??? Your rotting gb needs you!!! Bertie’s handing out cigars and pressing the flesh as we speak. Better than any general election!! Their was only two gbs which took my fancy for next year so voting a was pretty straight forwards.

This day is called the feast of Bunfight:

He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,

Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,

And rouse him at the name of Entropy.

He that shall live this day, and model old age,

Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,

And say ‘To-morrow is Saint @Enzo the Magnificent's Day:’

Then will he open his cabinet and show his works.

And say ‘These wrecks I built on Entropy’s day.’

Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,

But he’ll remember with advantages

What feats he did in that GB: then shall our names.

Familiar in his mouth as household words

Bertie the Loon, @JeroenS the co-host,

And all the others listed above,

Be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d.

This story shall the good man teach his son;

And Bunfight day shall ne’er go by,

From this day to the ending of the world,

But we in it shall be remember’d;

We few, we happy few, we band of Entropists;

And he to-day that casts his vote with me

Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,

This day shall gentle his condition:

And modellers worldwide now a-bed

Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,

And hold their craftknives cheap whiles any speaks

That polled with us upon the Bunfight day.

Yea I did vote for entropy. But so far it’s not looking like that many have. In fact I’m surprised at where the votes are going. But that’s democracy for you.

As Churchill said, ‘democracy is the worst form of government – except for all the others that have been tried’

Just don't call him a monkey...

Well technically we’re Apes not monkeys our nearest relative is the Chimpanzee who shares a common ancestor with us some 5 million years ago. (Yes paeliobiology is  one of my interests :) ) Monkeys separated from Apes much further in the past. Of course unless you’re a creationist in which case you’re neither.

It’s sad isn’t it 🙄

No. I might groan when I get out of bed in the morning but I'm happier than at any other time in my life. It took a long time, learning to be happy, but I'm glad I made the effort.
